BIHAS 2026 is Bangladesh’s first International platform dedicated to promoting the Halal economy.
It brings together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and halal certification authorities from Bangladesh, Malaysia, and beyond.
The event serves as a gateway for trade, investment, and innovation in halal sectors — food & beverage, finance, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, logistics, modest fashion, and tourism.

Successful Roundtable Discussion by EXPOPRO Highlights the Potentials of Halal Tourism in Bangladesh
On the 20th of March, 2024, a significant event was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, organized by EXPOPRO, the Center for Business Development and Communications. The “Halal in Tourism: Prospects and Opportunities for Bangladesh” Roundtable Discussion brought together key figures and organizations. This gathering was made possible in collaboration with the Bangladesh Halal Development Forum (BHDF) and support by Stryke.com.bd. The event was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, Her Excellency Haznah Md. Hashim, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The Special Guest was Md. Rais Hasan Sarowar, ndc, the Director General of the Regional Organizations Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
The roundtable discussion was moderated by Md Mamunur Rahman, the Founder and CEO of EXPOPRO, who also presented the keynote paper. The event was attended by numerous esteemed guests, among them Md. Ariful Hoque, Director General of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA); Abdus Salam Aref, President of the Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB); Shiblul Azam Koreshi, President of the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), and Salauddin Yousuf, Chairman of the FBCCI Standing Committee on Halal Foods. Enamul Haque Patwary, the Convenor of BHDF, delivered the concluding remarks and gave a vote of thanks. The meeting culminated in an Iftar and dinner, marking a successful and meaningful discussion.

BMCCI Hosts CareerTalk to Empower Aspiring Entrepreneurs
The Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI), in collaboration with the Malaysian Student Alumni, recently organized a CareerTalk event in Dhaka. This initiative aimed to support the educational and professional aspirations of Malaysian students in Bangladesh. The event attracted a diverse audience, including aspiring professionals, entrepreneurs, and students. They came together to seek guidance and inspiration to navigate the challenges of the evolving 21st-century career landscape. One of the event's highlights was the participation of Sami Ahmed, Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh Limited and a well-known figure from the TV show "Shark Tank Bangladesh." Ahmed, a successful entrepreneur and venture capitalist, shared his extensive experience and expertise with the attendees. In his engaging presentation on "Career Challenges in the 21st Century," he discussed strategies for startup success using available resources. He also provided insights into the evolving job market, the rise of digital entrepreneurship, the impact of emerging technologies like AI, and the critical skills required to thrive in the dynamic business environment. Shabbir A Khan, President of BMCCI, opened the event with a warm welcome. He emphasized the chamber's commitment to supporting the Malaysian student community in Bangladesh. Khan also highlighted BMCCI's collaborative efforts with Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) to address the educational and professional needs of Malaysian students. This CareerTalk event exemplifies BMCCI's dedication to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
